What happens after AOR?

Just curious, do they start processing right away? Or application goes into some queue and waits for months before processing starts?

It goes into a queue that can take months to start.

I can see the timing - during that time (between AOR and test invite) it's mostly waiting in the queue right? Or processing, background check and verifying physical residence altogether takes 3-4 months of work? Does "Application Received" to "In Process" change in ECAS mean anything at all?

Application Received, to In Process means they have started looking at your file.
