Getting 2 application number which is unusual to me

Hello I have experienced very hurt time in one of the applications we submitted. It is group of five, was received in December 2017 after few months we got applications number. After all while we were waiting decision to be made we received the same message with different application number which is returned very far behind .please I really need your help what is next step I have to do or what is going on to this application and is this is normal ? in my knowledge decision to be made only have to wait 7-8 months. Thank you!!

I received two application numbers too. The first one they created by mistake noting that a document was missing. Then they realized that all documents were in the package, so they created a new application number and sent me an email saying that the application is now in the waiting for processing. So, I still have not received approval from the office in Canada.

1. When did you submit your application ?
2. Have you received application approval from the office in Canada before transferring the file to embassy?

Your first application number must start with the word "G"
If the section application number you received does not start with word "G", this means your application was approved in Canada and sent to embassy outside Canada.

How long after your received the first application number did you receive the section application number ? 6 months ?
