My AOR is aug 21 and I got MEP on Sep 13 and after that my status was in IP2.

Today when i opened my profile I saw Application / profile updated. But I went inside and there is nothing new ? I don't understand this ghost update?

Can someone explain why is that happened ? anyone got this before ?
Hello All,

Thanks for all the responses.

I believe its a PPR. So what happened yesterday, Around 3PM EST i got an update but nothing changed in my profile. So I called CIC and asked why is it like that, they told me that my eligibility was sent to an senior visa officer for approval. After that in the evening again i got an update but nothing changed in my profile ( 2 updates on the same day but no change in the profile) so i called CIC again and they said it is a good news 'your application got approved'.

After few hours I got an email from "IRCC.CPCO-FinalRequest-CTDO-DemandeFinale.IRCC@cic.gc.ca" with subject line as Ready for visa with the instructions to submit my passport. But still there is no change in my profile. My profile is still in IP2 stage.

So can someone explain me what my status is ? its in PPR stage ? when will the status in my profile stage ? Can I trust this email ?

Thanks in advance.

Lucky you!
CEC Inland is the main reason for quick PPR I guess

I am FSW-O
Country of residence UAE
Travelled 7 countries in last 10 years so they would have to check quite a lot

Good thing is that my UK visa is valid till 2022 and US visa is Valid till 2020

These 2 countries conduct really thorough security checks while issuing visas so I guess that should be a positive point

I hope to get PPR really soon. Can't wait to move to Canada :)
What is your profession? Are you moving cuz of family or job?

Congratulations mate! Its definitely PPR since they have sent you an email to submit your passport.

Quick question. How did u get in touch with CIC agents? What number did you call? I am an inland too but have never been able to get through it. Please advise.

If you are calling from canada, I always call in the afternoon time EST +1-888-242-2100, and you have to pick option 2 , 2, 2,2 , 4 and then 0 to speak to agent.

Calling after 3PM EST gets connected easily, and queue time is minimum half hour (yesterday i waited for more than an hour).

I got my IP2 the day my medicals passed (Sept 9th). No change since then. Should I expect a PPR soon? Would it be too soon to call them to ask a status?

Dear, it wud be great , if u share major details like stream, aor, mep date etc ... without checking against any cic sources like gcms notes, predicting on the progress will currently be like a weather forecast prediction - there are chances for ppr to arrive early with possible occassional slight delays.

Really eager to hear gud news from you!! Cheers

also, I feel like everyone here has already submitted their eAPR especially those that were given ITA on August 8. Am I missing anything or did many just submit the requirements early? For me at this point I am still verifying if I am missing anything but will there be any issues if I submit nearly minute (well my deadline is Oct 8th for submission of eAPR ans I am planning to submit on Sept 29th max). Thank you very much so many things are floating in my head at this point
many pl prepared documentation that could have been prepared before receiving ITA. For me, after i got ITA all i needed was medical and bank statements which took days so i submitted less than 2 weeks after ITA. once you submit within ur timeframe, you will be fine

ITA - 8th August
AOR - 15th August
IP1 - skipped - went straight to IP2
IP2 - Unknown date
Medical passed -13th sept
Biometrics requested same day
Biometrics taken - 20th sept
Biometrics updated on CIC - 20th sept

Already stated “we are processing your background check” before medical was even passed. Clearly no order in which is looked into first.
i beleive different officers check different parts of your application, so some may finish before others, there is no order
