Hi,

I am currently working in a company with a position that falls under C category from 2nd Oct’17 and will be completing 1 year.

I’ll be getting promoted and will be receiving a offer letter that falls under NOC B category by the end of the year. So i was wondering if I’ve to work 1 more year or I can just go ahead and apply for express entry since I’ve completed 1560 hrs and have a valid offer letter.

Please help me clarify as I’ll be having lesser time on my work permit aif its one more year I’ve to go with.

It should be minimum one yr, full time (or equivalent part time) in NOC 0, A, B skill types only..
do you have foreign work experience ?

no i dont. okay so i am through a immigration agency and they said keep working, get ur offer letter (B category) and we will take care of it..so is he going to backdate or something ?

He is cutting a fool out of you clearly....... Check the highlighted in red... thats for your Canadian work experience requirement...

Minimum requirements
You must:
According to the Canadian National Occupational Classification, skilled work experience means:

  • Managerial jobs (skill level 0)
  • Professional jobs (skill type A)
  • Technical jobs and skilled trades (skill type B)
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...bility/canadian-experience-class.html#minimum

Now regarding your valid job offer points....
- What kind of work permit are you on? is it employer specific/close WP or Open Work Permit(OWP)? If it is OWP does it have approved LMIA ?

Ok if he is able to apply and arrange for a positive LMIA, you can claim the valid job offer points... but you still not meet the minimum requirement of 1 year full time work experience under NOC B

yeah i guess i will need to work 1 more year under B and then apply. my permit expires april 2020. think i will have enough time

oh wait one more thing..how about i apply for OINP with job offer letter ? im not sure how pre screening works ? is that lmia too ?
OINP selects from a pool of EE profile(for the HCP stream)... what is the logic and how the do it no one knows till date... you need to have a valid, eligible profile for that... if you create a profile now, it will be in eligible because you do not meet the work experience criteria...

I fall under international student with job offer stream. my degree will be eligible to apply untill dec’19. So i was thinking with a job offer of B category i can get it done ?

I would have little or zero knowledge on this but these should be other forum members who can guide you. It seems for this particular option you dont require LMIA...

Maybe you can start pinging members on this thread to find more info:
