I mailed my application feb 3 and they said they received it feb 12 but when I called a couple days ago they couldn't see when it was received. But then told me it was checked for completeness on March 8. So I made an inquiry on the web form and they replied with everything is good, I don't need to submit documents and that my application was received on March 1. I have never gotten any email correspondence from them in regards to an official letter or AOR yet. Every time I call I never get a straight answer and it seems like no one really knows what's up.
Wonder if there's any update to your case? I submitted mid-march and am still dealing with the same issue right now..

Hi everyone,

So I applied for permanent residence card renewal on June 18th. Yesterday marked the 90 days from when they had received my application but the only update online is that they have received my application on June 20th. What seems to be the dates of applications received they are actually working on now? Was thinking on calling them next week if I have no updates before that.

Thanks.

I actually ended up calling the number just now and listened to the automated message. It said that if the application has been received by them on June 14th or after it has not been processed yet.

Hi, When did they change your online status. Because my application was delivered on 13 june and they did not updated any status for me yet.

The call center says they can't transfer the call to an agent owing to a problem. Where did you get this information from? Can you write the path?

Parcel tracking info. My application was returned back to me due to incorrect photos. So resubmitted again.

I am not sure of the wait times now.
Hi Vishalv, could you please update when you receive news? I wonder for returned applications due to incorrect photos, does it mean updated application, and how long it would take to receive the PR after you send in new photos?

I sent in my application early July, and plan to travel early Dec (already bought flight ticket), so no room for error... Except that I usually make errors :((

i didn't talk to anyone. i think i pressed 1-1-3 and then as I don't know my application number I just put 0. then it asked my birth year.. i enter that. after there was recording saying the June 14 info.

Hi,
I didn't get any email about the status change so, unfortunately, can't say the exact date. I went to check the client status online last weekend and saw that.

Yeah, i heard that too now. As per the website- the processing time is 90 days and as per the call center it's 86 days.. don't know which one is accurate.

True. and also based on my calculations, 90 days already passed for me yesterday and they haven't even started processing the application. Not sure how they count those days anyway. :D

PRTD is exhausting no doubt, but u should b getting ur PR any day . It usually takes 10 days to reach IRCC office who will contact u and moreover u have enough time to get it.All the best.Lot of applicants are wondering why eTA is not given.Everyone cannot travel by pvt vehicle.eTA will save IRCC time spent on answering calls . Travelling is no more glamour,it is a routine nowadays. In case of emergency if one has to travel immediately, one cannot wait for three/ four weeks to get cardOR PRTD in a weeks time when abroad. Ministry of immigration should think positively
Just to update, I got an email on Monday asking to "Come in person on Thursday or Friday between 08:00 AM and 04:00 PM ". I'm reasonably sure they mean any Thu/Fri within the next 180 days (since they didn't even specify a given date), and I asked them about it, but of course they haven't replied yet. Coincidentally, I plan on being in Montreal in 6 weeks from now on both Thu and Fri so hopefully I can sort this out when I go there.

More of the relevant text:

You may be asked questions in relation to your residency. A permanent resident is required to comply with the residency obligation with respect to every 5-year period, per the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, section 28. For that reason, you must bring the following documents:
  • All passports and travel documents held by you since becoming permanent resident
  • Photo identification.
  • Entry and Exit record (record of movement) from current country of residence for yourself and your spouse or common-law partner
  • Proof that you are accompanying a Canadian citizen who is your spouse or common-law partner outside of Canada:
    • Copy of all passports and travel documents (from Canada and all countries of citizenship) held by your spouse ( you must provide a copy of all pages)
    • Proof of Canadian citizenship for your spouse or common-law partner
    • Proof of address /family ties ( Lease, rental or mortgage documents. Birth certificate of your children (if applicable), marriage certificate, Family Records, others)
    • Proof of employment or study outside of Canada for your spouse or common-law partner
NB: Note that I sent all of this with the renewal application (yes, even the CBP entry/exit records, copy of all the passport pages in color etc), but what can I do now. I can provide all they ask and more, my wife and I have been living together for the past 5 years and have a 3-year old so it's not particularly hard to get evidence of that. I also made a little spreadsheet with who was traveling when (myself alone, my wife alone, all of us; we travel frequently enough), maybe that'll help also.

Anyway, if people have tips on what I should expect from this encounter, let me know.

PS: A bit amusing that the French and English versions have meaningful discrepancies. For instance, "If you come to your appointment without having previously confirmed your attendance, we reserve the right to postpone the appointment." is in the English version, but not in the French one.

Sent my application on May 31, 2018.

We received your application for a permanent resident card on June 1, 2018.

Last update was about 15 days ago. No update yet.
Hang on, processing time is from the date they send notification that they got to the application?
not from the date they received from the mail service?
