In my case i took several recording of IELTS listening section and used to play them every single day on my way to / from work. That way you get used a lot to the different pauses, entonations, accents, etc. Over and over again until i even knew the conversations from start to end. It was not about memorizing the audios but getting your skill completely adjusted to these. I usually score 8.5 or 9.
Writing is my issue.

Does anyone know if one can claim points for 6 months PG Certificate from UK? :( I don't understand how WES evaluates some PG Certificates to one year and some don't
You can claim points for whatever is the ECA outcome.

WES or other assessing organizations have their own methods to evaluate, so we cannot really say if they would assess a 6 month PG certificate as a 1 year course or not.

Hi Guys,

I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question. But this thread seems more active than others.

Do I have to get an updated Indian PCC if I have not been to India since I received the last PCC?

I have been working in Australia on work visa and had to get indian PCC in January 2017. I have not been to India since then. Do I have to get Indian PCC again, or can I use the old one?

Hello docparth86!

check this:

"Date the certificate was issued
For the country where you currently live: this police certificate must have been issued no more than 6 months before the date you submit your application.

For any other country from which you need a police certificate: the police certificate must have been issued after the last time you stayed in the country for 6 months or more in a row.

If you have a police certificate that is now expired, include it. We’ll accept it, but an officer may ask for a new one later on.

If you’ve requested police certificates in the past, you can also include copies of the originals in your application."

You can read this information and other related to Police Certificates FOR EXPRESS ENTRY here:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/apply-permanent-residence/police-certificates.html

If you are applying for another program, this does not apply.

Off Topic: Why are you trying to immigrate to Canada when you can apply for Australian PR? I dont know the Australian scenario as I never tried it.

I think this means that I don't have to get a new one.

Actually, Canada Express Entry process is equally as hard as Australia Skilled Visa 189, but it seems work experience verification is much easier for Express Entry. For Australia, they even call your HR. Not that it is a problem, but I have heard horrible stories of irresponsible HR reps screwing otherwise simple applications.
