Hi,

I am in the process of applying for PR for Canada & i have a 28 year old sister who is mentally disabled and is a dependent of me.

Need help to understand the procedure to take her along with me & extra cost if any.

P.S: She is currently not under any kind of medication / treatment.

She cannot be included as a dependent in your application.

EDIT: Unfortunately there's no way for you to bring her with you to Canada permanently when you move. Best case scenario she could apply to come for a short visit after you have become a permanent resident. However there's no guarantee of approval and it may be quite difficult to get a visitor visa approved if she isn't working and has no real assets/property in her name. You should assume that she will have to remain in your home country and that you will have to find a way to continue to ensure she is well cared for there.

If, once you have PR status yourself, you may eventually be able to sponsor your parent(s), assuming that they are alive. Under those circumstances, they may be able to include your sister as a dependent child. However, for now, you do not have that option.
