Morning,

Quick question please.

My proof of funds account has around 26,000 CAD at the moment. I will need to use these funds until I actually plan to move to Canada (to pay residence fees, medical etc). Does it matter if this figure fluctuates from the figure I submit as bringing with me and what is in the bank statements I provide? I am a single applicant and will not go close to the minimum required however was wondering if it saying going from 26K down to 20K would be an issue?

Thanks in advance and to anyone who has helped before too.

Cheers

depends on the size of your family. you can check the funds reqd per member in the link below. you must have the min reqd amount.

Hi there,

Thankyou. I will still have more than enough as a single applicant. My question is more how much can my proof of funds fluctuate from when I provide the evidence to when I physically move to Canada? As I say I will not be close to the threshold but should the figure still match what I put in my application or can it be a bit lower to allow me to pay for the medical and residency fee etc?

since it's a personal account it can be lower. not a problem. they're only concerned about the threshold.

Yes as long as it doesn't dive under. The fluctuations they care about are large unexplained deposits for example because that's when they worry the applicant may have borrowed money to pretend they have got enough
