Hello

I am filling application post ITA and have a question about Education History

In the Education History do I need to enter only my Masters education details or I need to create entry from 10th standard (Primary Education), Intermediate (11 th and 12th), Degree (undergraduate) and Masters.

For my ECA i submitted only my Masters from US university and it was accepted as Masters.

Thanks

You only have to list the education for which you have the ECA. However, in your personal history, you will list everything for the last 10 years, or since you reached the age of 18.

Thank you. I will list my Masters in Education History since I got ECA for that.

I finished my Undergrad in 2001. Do I still have to list under personal history?

Under personal history, I am updating that I was working from 2007 till present. Is that enough or do I need to update my bachelor's and other education details which were way earlier than 10 years

Thanks

You don't have to. If you do it, no harm.

Hi legalfalcon. I read most of your posts and replies here you are really knowledgeable. I seek your help here.

I have applied for PR in 2016 my file is in process since then, i got married meanwhile and now i am trying to ad my wife in my in process application, ircc requested a few form for my wife and a Updated schedule A for me. In which i realized i have forgotten about my visa rejection so i changed my answer to YES and mentioned all my visa rejections. Now i was reading my gcms notes and i saw that info sharing with USA has been done in 2017 and nothing came up then. Since i have changed my answer to yes and if the BGC takes place again if they find out my mistake would it cause any issue?

Please get back to me.
Thank you for your help.

Hello it's me again

I am the primary applicant and I have experience letter from my employer. I worked from October 2006 till February 2014 for Which I am claiming points and after Feb 2014 I am a Stay-at-home mom.

1. For my work history I updated what I have experience letter for ie October 2006 till Feb 2014 and In the Personal History, I updated From March 2014 till present Homemaker. - Would that be a problem to get PR if I am the primary applicant and currently I am a Homemaker?

2. For my Husband, he doesn't have experience letter from his past employers. So Under his Work History can I leave it blank and not enter anything.

3. Can i update all his previous work history under his Personal History section. would that be OK?

4. Currently, he has his own company and is working in his own company developing software. What should he enter for his work history? Self-employed or something else? If Self-employed what documents he needs to attach.

- as long as you have letter of reference for the 2006-2014 work you will be fine. you do not need to be currently working. Requirement is to work min for 1 yr (continuous, full time, NOC, 0, A, B skill type jobs) and max foreign work exp point you get is for 3 yrs all this in the last 10 yrs. So work Exp between 2008(Aug/Sep) will be counted for the work experience..
- if you are the PA, your spouse foreign work exp does not score any point, all his work experience can be mentioned in the personal history and in that case he does not need to provide any letter of reference
- Self employed is fine, please read the above point

Thank you for your kind words. It helps to be a lawyer sometime {Wink! Wink!}

Nothing to be concerned about. If your info sharing from US came back with no traces, and it was concerning your US, visa, your answer will not make any difference.

1. No. You get points for your work experience. The work ex for which you are claiming points should have occurred within the last 10 years. As long as your meet this, you are good.
2. You can say no. If you say yes, then he will need to list the employments and upload the work reference letters. If you say no, it will not ask you for any employment history. However, you will need to list the employment in the personal history. For spouse's work history, you do not get any points.
3. yes, you have to.
4. See 2.

Thank you bimale4bipeople and legalfalcon for the input.

While creating Express Entry profile I did enter my husbands work history. Will it be an issue if I update his work history under is personal history?

For self-employed - even though I am updating his work history under Personal history - Do I need to upload any documentation related to his self-employment.

My concern is since I am the PA and not working currently and my husband is the one who is financially supporting the family - Do we need to upload or provide any documentation which shows that one person is earning.

Hi Legalfalcon

I got my gcms notes and I have eligibility met but there was one officer review required for settlement funds . What does this mean ? Is it something to be concerned of and one said that it will delay my app is it true donu have past experiences like this

- Yeah it will not be an issue because you are not getting any points... you are highlighting the employment activities in the personal history folder he is doing over the last 10 yrs...
- It should not a an issue as highlighted in the above post...
Just make sure your PoF related documentation is thorough and you are meeting the required funds requirements. If all the savings/funds are in one e.g. your spouse's account, make sure you submit a letter signed by him which says that you(the PA) have complete access to the funds at any given point on time along with a letter for funds confirmation from the bank...

Thank you so much for the input. I have enough POF in my bank account and also in my husbands account. Was planning to upload only my POF but as you suggested I can upload my spouse POF as well.

Sorry one more thing - So I dont have to upload any documentation related to work or self-employment for my spouse (if I am updating his personal history with anything related to work/self-employment)
