Dear @legalfalcon,

I had to do a soft landing for personal reasons. Stayed in Canada for a week, applied for a PR card and then returned. I have provided a friend's address for my PR card to be mailed. Still waiting for my PR card. I was thinking my friend could send my card to oversees once received but then I've heard some cases where customs officers seize PR cards if they find out it's shipped outside Canada.

I have to go back to Canada in mid October. So I was thinking I might apply for a PRTD, but what if my application is refused for some reason? Will my PR status be terminated or I can still enter Canada if I get my PR card somehow?

Many thanks in advance.

The application for PRTD cannot be refused if you provide proof of your PR status and have all supporting documents in your application for PRTD.

To ship PR cards, you need paper work and some legal formalities. GET GCMS is doing it, if you are interested.

Dear legal falcon

I have received the following questions from immigration officer today, Although i can explain all these questions, I am just not sure how to go about the documentation and in what form.

------Client Information: explanation for why your sister deposited PKR 500,000 into your account on 11 April 2018. This must be received at this office by: 2018/08/30
------Client Information: confirmation that you have no children from your marriage. This must be received at this office by: (how do i explain this when i have already submitted my legal family tree with no children?)

The officer is concerned that the PRK 500,000 is border money, which is not permitted. So you will have to show where this money came from and why. If it was a repayment of a prior debt, provide document for it, if it was a gift, then you need a gift deed.

Just an affidavit is sufficient.

Hello guys, @legalfalcon
What can / should be done after the 6 month time has passed? I do not want to order GCMS notes again as its a waste I already ordered twice and they were identical. AOR Feb 2018, IP2 30 July 2018. Everything passed except BG.

First of, the 6 months processing time starts from the day your pass your R10 and not from the day when you get AoR.

Even if your 6 months processing time has passed, and your eligibility has been passed, all your are left is with security, and for some applicants it takes way longer. To track security progress, you can request CBSA / CSIS notes.

Hi legalfalcon,

Can you please help me in this regards?

would be really thank full to you.

Responded.

Hi @legalfalcon sir, my crs is 431& even after my spouse has reattempted ielts we could not achieve an increase in our crs score due to my spouse low band score. My IELTS scores are maxed out. I am looking to explore the option of applying PR with non-accompanying spouse.please guide me in detail at the earliest.

You can do that, but be advised that to sponsor your spouse after your application is approved will take a minimum of 1 year, and you will need to show that you are economically established in Canada, which may be difficult for new PRs.

Hello

Can anyone please help me fill in my application post-ITA.

1. I visited canada on visit visa in 2013. What should I say for the question - Has the applicant applied to IRCC before? Should I say YES or NO.

2. Also it is asking if I have a UCI number. This is my first time applying for PR Canada. I am not sure what the UCI number is. I dont see any UCI number for my visit visa stamp on my passport.

Thanks in advance for your input

1. answer yes.

2. For UCI see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/uci-application-number-use-requesting-gcms-notes/
If you do not have it or don't remember, just leave it blank and say no. One will be assigned.

Ok thanks for the update. How soon does CSIS completes its process ?

Both CSIS and CBSA have to conclude before security is passed. CSIS does it before CBSA and then sends the report to CBSA, who submit the final report to IRCC.

Usually 1-3 months for CSIS.

is your wife studying, working or currently doing any activities?
She is working as a preschool teacher in India (exp.-1.5 years), she has no Canadian work exp., she has attempted IELTS on 24th May and 18th Aug, with respective band scores of 6.5 and 7.0

Can i cite this as a reason to apply for ITA with non accompanying spouse, also even if she gets band 7.5, the score increases max. by 4 points, total spouse language score quota is 20 points, currently, I am having 16 points.

Please let me know whether it is better if my spouse re-attempts IELTS for the 3rd time or shall i modify and submit with non-accompanying spouse option, if I submit with non-accompanying spouse option, what valid explanation I can give to the visa officer?

This is not a valid reason.

This is not a valid reason.

My wife is currently interested to pursue her teaching job and I would be applying for PR without a job offer, hence she is not ready to accompany with me, can this be a better reason, @legalfalcon sir?

Kindly suggest

you can explain that your wife would like to continue working and join you in canada later.

As a family, you cannot apply separately. Further, the reason has to be a legitimate one, not a cooked up one.

Hello

I am filling application post ITA and have a question about Education History

In the Education History do I need to enter only my Masters education details or I need to create entry from 10th standard (Primary Education), Intermediate (11 th and 12th), Degree (undergraduate) and Masters.

For my ECA i submitted only my Masters from US university and it was accepted as Masters.

Thanks
