Hi Guys,

I received an email yesterday that I have met the eligibility requirement to sponsor and also I can see decision made on ECAS. In the same email its mentioned that my file is moved to CPC-Ottawa. I am sponsoring for my parents who live in India. I have couple of questions if someone can help me with please.

1. What are the next steps now. Should I be waiting for medicals and PCC now ? Anything I need to do other than wait for next communication from CIC ? I saw some folks in the forum got PCC and Medical request to submit it in next 30 days.

2. Any idea about the processing time in CPC-Ottawa. How much more time it generally takes from "Decision Made" status.

If selected to sponsor parents can you apply sponsorship for only one parent if you cannot qualify for both and call the other on supervisa!?

You cannot do that because if you sponsor one parent and not the other, once the sponsored parent becomes a PR, they could sponsor their spouse. Same if one parent fails the medical, both get denied.

You can call and ask to confirm if you'd like.

Line 108, kone 0801, SIN OR NOA: BOTH, AOR date: Jul. 23, 2018, E-CASE for sponsor and applicant both changed to "In Process" on Aug. 24, 2018.

Line 108, kone 0801, SIN OR NOA: BOTH, AOR date: Jul. 23, 2018, E-CASE for sponsor and applicant both changed to "In Process" on Aug. 24, 2018.

It looks like they are processing applications in batches. Mine was changed to “in process” on the same day as yours.

you can if parents are divorced , if not family size = your family + parents, both of them must pass medical

Got ME request around August 6th. Just got additional docs ready to submit.
