Hello Everyone,

I have two questions and your help will be MUCH appreciated:

1. My mom spent 10 month with me in Canada in 2017-2018 (super visa). Do we need a Police Certificate? I couldn't find any instructions in guide 5772; but guide 3998 (for applications submitted before July 2011) mentions that police certificate is required if you spent in other country more than 6 months.
Does it mean we don't need to provide police certificates based on new requirements - guide 5772.

2. Translation companies do not certify true copy. does it mean i have to:
- certify true copy of my birth certificate with notary public
-mail certified copy to translation company
-translation company will translate from certified true copy
-translation company will mail me a full package

i live in remote area and there are no translation companies here - so everything should be done by mail.

Thank you for help,

eg
  1. No - you don't need this right now - Once CIC will request you to provide this then :)
  2. Unfortunately then maybe this is the only procedure available for you to follow to get done translation and notarised
Hope this helps!

Hey guys, help needed!

Canada Post messed it up:( I'm in GTA and I sent out the application package yesterday morning at post office through Xpresspost. It supposed be delivered today. But I tracked online, it stucked at "in transit". The status of my mail is only "received at local office", no more scanned information. I went to the post office, they said everything yesterday should be out, and there should be an update if the mail is scanned and on the way.

What should I do now? Help please? How long can I call CIC if they receive it? Or I need to resend my application?

same thing happened to me a week ago. you can call them and file a ticket only after 8pm (a long wait should be expected)

normally they will deliver it very early in the next day.

their explanation is since it's too near, so the system won't update and keeps showing "in transit" until it's out for delivery.

Thanks for the info! I will call Canada Post.

What I worried is in the delivery progress, it only has the record of the mail being accept at the post office, then no more update. Did you have the same situation?

Even the lady in the post office said it shouldn't be like this, she said if the truck come to pick up the mail and send to Mississauga center to sort, they should scan it and shows it is in Mississauga:(

Will there be any line updated in ECAS to acknowledge the receipt of PCC and travel history documents which were submitted trough email as per the instruction provided. If so, how long does it takes to see the information being updated into ECAS?

Hi my dad worked abroad before.. do he need SECURITY clearance or police clearance ?
If you question is related to just file the application than answer is No for both.

Security screening is for every one on later stage of application. How detail it will be it depends on random application + type of job & Country

Good luck
