Hello everyone,i have a son studying in vancouver as an international student.he had an severe road accident on march 9, 2018.his left side was all broken fractured and took him 5 months to recover.he is still not able to do daily chores by himself.i have been living here since march to take care of him and now my time is coming to leave Canada , but its impossible for me to leave him like this. how can i apply for temporary resident visa on humanitarian basis.please help me.

So first question might be when will your son be fit to return home to his home country where you can look after him. Others can comment but given your son is only in Canada as a temporary resident with a study permit then that might be the first question IRCC ask so they would need a lot of convincing he is not fit to return home.

the country from which i belong does not have good health services, infact poor, and private treatment is way too expensive. my husband's work contract is finishing soon and we will be in a financial crunch too. the kind of injuries my son had and the treatment he is having right now, don't allow him to leave .

You need to apply to extend your visit in Canada. Include a letter explaining the reasons why you are asking for an extension. Provide hospitalization records for your son and letters from doctors to show he is unable to take care of himself on his own. You will also want to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to remain in Canada as a tourist.

Has he continued his studies? Otherwise how is he receiving health care in Canada? If he doesn't continue studying his health insurance is unlikely to continue.

yes he missed his two semesters already, enrolling into fall semester now as his counselor approved. he had head injuries too so had to wait for proper recovery.

Normally if you are not attending school you shouldn't receive healthcare through province or school unless you have your own private insurance. Guessing the school or you didn't report the gap in his studies.

What I am saying is that MSP probably doesn't realize he was not a student for 2 semesters. If you are not attending school you don't qualify for MSP as an international student.
