Hi,

I got ITA in July. For financial reasons, I'm considering declining this ITA. However need some guidance/advice about this decision.
1) If I decline, does it get recorded by CIC and go against me? My score is 458, and I'm worried that I might not receive ITA when I'm ready to submit my documents.
2) Since I'm not ready to upload my documents until October, shall I remove my name so I'm not considered for the August and Sept. entries? How do I do that?
3) Has anyone declined one time and moved through the process?
4) IF I accept, what is the projected/anticipated timeline? Is it possible that this process might wrap up in one year's time?
Any advice is highly appreciated!
Thanks.

declining .. one of colleagues did.. and got into in next draw...

Thanks.
I don't want to get into the immediate next draw (i.e., in Aug or Sept). Should I close my profile then?
Also, by Oct., I don't know if scores will increase by then.

yup. no-one can predict the score. mate

I saw one post on forum where a person had declined 4-5 ITAs and still got ITA every time in the draw. So I think it should be ok. I'm not sure if you can withdraw your application for certain months. As for scores there is no way of predicting cut offs but your scores looks good and should have good chance for ITA.

You can easily modify your profile. If you donot want to be selected in the next draw, you can lower your scores by removing your IELTS scores or your WES number.
