Hello everyone,
I came to Canada on December 2017 via express entry. I am a PR now. I got married recently on July 1st, 2018. with an intention to sponsor her once i come back here. I was under the impression that the whole process would take around 6 months and she would be here in 7 months. But looking at current timeline it looks like it may take around 10 months or more for her to come here. I have not applied the sponsorship application yet. I could see 2 options now.
1. Apply for sponsorship as Outland application and wait for around an year for her to come here
2. Apply for temporary resident visa as it will take around 1 month to get it and then once she is here, apply for her PR by Inland application. I'm aware it will take a bit longer i.e., around 18 months I believe but atleast she would be here sooner.
I wanted to know the possibilities along with risks in these 2 cases.
Could someone please guide me in this situation.
