Hello my friends,

You all have helped me a lot going through the application process and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I just got my PPR on Aug 10th and I am inland OINP applicant with application received on April 28th, 2017.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can kindly answer my questions.

(1) When we get our COPR and PR visa, I assume the next step is to apply for PR card?
(2) for inland applicants, how can we apply for our PR card? I searched the forum and found we need to do "inland landing", is that correct?
(3) for inland applicant, after getting COPR how much time is needed to get PR card now?

Many thanks in advance!

1) No. The next step is to 'land' using your PR visa to officially become a PR. You can do this inland by booking an appointment which can take a few months. Or you can leave Canada and re-enter through a border.
2) You do not apply for a PR card. The PR card is generated automatically when you land.
3) Around 2 months plus a few additional week for mailing time.

Thank you very much Scylla!

I need to go back to my home country in the next couple of weeks anyway so I guess the most sensible way for me is to finish the "landing" procedure when I re-enter Canada.

A follow-up question if you do not mind:)

When you say "re-enter through a border", I am not quite sure about its meaning. I live at Toronto so naturally I will book my return flight to Toronto. Does Toronto count as a border? I saw from the forum that many people live at Toronto go to borders near Niagara fall. So can I finish the "landing" procedure when I fly back to Toronto? Please kindly guide me.

Also do I finish the landing procedure with the same usual official who checked our study/work visa (permit), or do I need to see another official specializing in the landing procedure, which means I need to line up in the queue?

Sorry for my questions. I cannot easily find answers on the forum. Thank you so much for your time and input.

Yes - you can land at Pearson airport when you return from your trip. Just tell immigration you are landing and show them your PR visa.

Oh Scylla, could you also tell me what documents I should bring with me when I do landing?

COPR and PR visa for sure, anything else? I saw from other post that I also need fund, does that mean I need to print out the bank statements from my bank here?

Thank you in advance.
