Husband lives out of country - Original signatures required on application?

Hello,

I have searched for this question on these forums and scoured the government website for this answer, to no avail. My husband currently resides in Mexico, and I am about to begin the application process of family sponsorship. Do I need to mail him the documents for his original signature to be included on the application, or would a copy of the signed application suffice? Apologies in advance if this question is answered somewhere on the government website.

What i did was I typed everything on pc by using adobe and email to my wife in Vietnam, then she sent it back to me by mailing. It saved me a lot of time

So yes you need the original signature....

From the guide:

Signatures
If signatures are missing, we will return the application without processing it.

Note: IRCC will normally accept forms with photocopies of signatures. However, you may be asked to provide the original copy of your forms with an original signature if an IRCC officer determines it is necessary.

You can decide what you want to do. Always best to try and minimize the chance of a delay in my opinion but up to you.

Yeah, she printed it out then signed on it. It took me 3 days to receive it from Vietnam to Canada.

I think it will be best to take both of your recommendations and submit originals, as this process is already long enough, I don't want to cause further delays! I can imagine waiting for the mail to come from Mexico to Canada with original signatures would be considerably less time than having to submit originals after the application is in process. hi there, if you decided to fill out the form by using Adobe Acrobat Reader on PC, he must have to "VALIDATE" IMM0008ENU and IMM1344E before printing and signing on it.
like canuck78 said you better have original signatures on it to avoid delaying your application

How we did it too
I got it all filled, emailed it to him.
However a lot of the computer places didnt have adobe updated a few forms would not open, and a few places he went refused to do the update
He finally found a place and got them all printed, signed and courriered back to me.

He can sign just the page that require signature.
I did it that way.
I validated after and just replaced that page.

But i remember both of them require PA’s signature on it thats why I told my wife validate first then printing and signing

Either way the forms are signed at the last page or close to the last section
They can always be validated after and simply replace the unsigned portion with the one signed once printed
