Would you mind telling me how did you check your application status? I thought I should have a receipt number first to be able to check it

Yes please, the status is available only after AOR

No, you can check using UCI. Your application won't show up unless you have already received AoR, though (which is what happened with the person above who did not get an email but could see their status on ECAS).

On your PR card , you will have the UID Number or you can also use your PR Card Number. Using any of those, check in ECAS.

Just a couple questions, what do the acronyms stand for? AOR? ECAS? And does the government update my application progress through mail or do I have to check online?

Yes that is what Happened in my case, I did not receive the email, so I went on and checked the status of my application and that is when I saw that the AOR was already delivered. If no AOR is delivered the website will tell you that the file cannot be find. In any case you will have an idea. good luck.

PS: I used my PR card number I find it easier and less confusing thant the UCI

I previously had worked in Saudi Arabia left my job while on vacation and didn’t do my exit process and the resident permit(iqama) had expired 4 years before .

Will that pose any problems as such .

No, this is not unusual. You will get the last AOR very soon. When agents open a file they make entries for applications they have checked and keep progressing. They do not wait to send AOR for each application packet. Probably, within the next 2-3 business days you will get it.
