Wish there was a way to show this information on the top of every Ray of Hope thread

* It will take 24 hours until you get your ITA
* If your above cut off, you will receive an ITA
* The tie breaking rule only applies to those with the exact CRS score of the draw
Even if there was way, most would just ignore it and still ask.

I am going off topic.

Why is everyone so eager to move to Canada? I have heard some horror stories of people not able to find respected job even after 1 year in Canada.

I don't want to scare anyone or be pessimistic here. Just wanted to understand, have you all thought about this?

Thanks. Sorry if it's a repeatedly-asked question. Good idea to have a Frequent Q&A page.

Mostly the security, many of us are living in dangerous and/or corrupted countries, but all of us have particular reasons as well.

As for the life in Canada, there are sure a lot of dificulties for newcomers, but the hope and optimism of a new life is a great motivation.

By the way, unemployment is very low in Canada at the moment. In Montreal for example, it's 5.5%. :D

Don't worry about it! It's okay to ask questions, that's what the forum is for. I think a lot of people, including me, forget how hard it was to navigate all the rules and information about express entry in the beginning. It's just when you've been here for a while, certain questions are repeated a lot :p

Curious too. I haven't looked at the most recent numbers, but there are reports saying Canada is effectively in a recession. I ought to have done my homework, but what's the equivalent of the Fed Reserve, BEA, and BLS for Canada? Are the latter two's work carried out by Statistics of Canada?
