Steps to Get PR while studying in Canada

I am currently studying in Canada and would like to know if there are any different steps to get a PR as compared to how the process is when applying for Express entry when out of the country. I also wanted to know if i need to redo my medical exam if my current exam is within a year.

The process is the same whether you apply from within Canada or outside of Canada. There's a good chance you'll need to re-do the medical - although that depends on how soon you are selected.
