hi
My husband’s daughter was on his application. She redid her medicals back Nov 2017 when passports were requested, so they are good until Nov 2018. He was the only one coming to Canada at the time, she is 4.
However now we would like her with us, she will not be travelling until later in 2019.
Is it best to wait and let it expire?? Because if we apply now her one entry visa will only be good until then as well...

its not clear....provide clear explanation and context.
What is not clear to you?
When my husband was approved for PR, he had to redo his medicals, automatically they ask dependants to be redone as well even if they are not coming.

She is only coming in 2019.
So it will expire again Nov 2018....

My question is still the same
Not sure what context you need more?

Spousal application in general takes about a year and I am not sure about dependent's PR application. You may want to check others timeline.
I am assuming that she was listed as non-accompanying dependent and you guys now want to apply for her PR.

If she is not ready to come in 2018, then do not apply right away.
Her old Nov 2017 medical may or may not be valid when VO requests it.
Even if it's valid, VO may request her to redo it when the expiry of medical is too close to the time to issue COPR/one entry visa.

Your husband and his daughter did medical exam in Nov 2017......

Is it best to wait and let it expire?? ......do you mean let the medical exam validity expire in Nov 2018 ?

Because if we apply now her one entry visa will only be good until then as well.......when you husband was issued PR visa, did his daughter also receive PR visa ?

Or his daughter have a one entry temporary visitor visa to Canada ?

her one entry visa will only be good until then as well.....good till when ?
I gave all the info in both my previous post, i am not sure why you do not understand it.
But i will explain again, my husband was the one applying for PR, dependants are automatically added to the application; she wasnt coming so no PR, no visa.
She still had to do medicals with her father, twice as it had expired a few weeks before his interview.

Medicals were last redone in Nov 2017, therefore expires in nov 2018, meaning copr will also expire then yes.....

now its clear and easy to understand.

@YVR123 reply is good.
Yvr123 clearly understood me from the get go. I had explained it and everyone advanced here know copr expires when medical expires, not sure why i had to explain that but he answered me so its all good.

Would start the application to sponsor his dependent around 10-12 months before you want her to come to Canada. Application for dependents usually take 6-8 months.

Medicals can also be extended. As most of the medical tests aren't done for a child her age, if you apply now, there is probably a good chance of the medical being extended for another year.
