thank you brother! honestly I am so frustrated with this whole waiting time .. it's been almost nine months since I have applied for my wife ...file got transferred to london visa offoce on january 23, 2018 .. and since then there is complete silence .. neither they ask for anything nor do they work on my file ... as it is I am alone here in Canada and waiting for her makes me really frustrated at times ... anyway thanks for your help
The frustration will get easier the sooner you stop expecting things from them. I'm a July applicant. It's been 12 months, the process exceeds the stated timeframe now so there's no point relying on things. I sent documents voluntarily as well which they never bothered acknowledging despite confirmation emails so even that really depends. Generally the officers love finding our mistakes but don't like doing their jobs correctly. Also, people will tell you a lot of different things but reality is they are unpredictable and can ask anything anytime. Until you get Decision made that is when you can actually chill out.
