Hello,
I'm new to using forums so please bare with me. I am filling out the application to sponsor my husband who is staying with me here in Canada. He has been here for about 2.5 months, and we just got married last month.
I am concerned they will find my income from last year to be not enough, but my husband has plenty of money of his own. Will they consider this? My mom was willing to cosign until we realized she can't because its for my spouse... Can he co sign for himself? thats probably a dumb question lol. We just want to show that between the two of us there is plenty of money to support his basic needs.
Any help is greatly appreciated...this process is confusing >.<

There is no minimum income requirement to sponsor.

Hi

You can write a letter and show financial proofs of your husband. Your mom can also write a letter stating she will help you guys out.

Thank you for your reply. I had read that somewhere but then when it asks to submit my income ass
They request your income information because part of your sponsorship agreement is that you will be able to financially support your sponsored spouse for the three years of the undertaking. They do not require a minimum income for sponsorship, only that they can see that there is a plan in place and resources available for you to be able to fulfill the financial support of your spouse, in the event that they required financial assistance. If your income recently has been low, then you can demonstrate your spouse's funds and include letters of offered support from your mother as supplements to show that you have a plan in place.
