Queries regarding student visa under spp rule

Greetings,
I have been admitted into a reputed university in Canada and i plan on applying for my visa soon. I have payed the fees of the first semester only and i got to know about the new amendment to the SPP rule later. So i would like to know whether the visa approval chances get affected if i applying through SPP. I have scored an overall score of 7.5 in IELTS and no less than 6.5 in any of the module. Kindly guide me if i should reconsidery decision and apply under SDS category.

There is no SPP now, you need to apply through SDS or general.
For SDS you need to pay full year tuition among other things.

Apply via SDS, you have bright chance. Make sure you meet the other obligations of SDS.
