Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding job letters.

I have been a doctor for over 5 years now and never once received a list of duties, I am not sure if such a thing even exist for a doctor on this side of the world.

The same applies for hours worked, I work well over 40 hours per week and it is almost impossible to obtain a letter that says 40 hours is my normal working hours.

I made a request to the hospitals that i have work at in the past and even the current hospital but they are unsure about what should be listed on the job letter as a "list of duties".

I can obtain a letter that includes my designation, salary, start date and end date but not hours worked or list of duties.
I am not sure if i can obtain pay slips for hospitals that i worked at years ago either.

Can someone advise me on how to approach this.

Roles and duties are must for reference letter. You can draft your own reference letter and ask Hospital to print it on a letter head. Signed and stamped.

If you do not know work hours, just mention 40 hours per week. This is standard and acceptable.

Payslips can be ignored if you can request Hospital to mention your Salary per annum on reference letter.

Look at your NOC code and make a list of roles and responsibilities similar to it. If you can't mention any particular hours/week, then put 'more than 40 hours/week' or 'full-time' in your reference letter. The reference letters is yours to prepare, so prepare whatever CIC is asking to be put in.
