Hello everybody

I'm filling up the form IMM5406, I'm the sponsor(Canadian) of my husband (Spain). I have 2 boys from my previous marriage (they born in Canada)

on the instructions says:
Who needs to fill out this form?

This form must be filled out and signed by:

  • The principal applicant,
  • All dependent children aged 18 or over (whether coming with you to Canada or not).
But in another point says:
Write the personal details for your children. It is very important that you list all of your children (even if they are already permanent residents or citizens of Canada). This includes:

  • children of your spouse(step-children) or common-law partner,
I have to mention my boys are 6 and 9 years old.

So I'm Confused if I have to mention on this form or not
Thanks in advanced for the help.

Yes, your children definitely need to be mentioned in IMM5406 as your spouses step-children even though they are Canadian citizens.
