Hello everyone,
I am wondering how hard it is to get CLB 5 in all 4 sections of TEF exam with 4 months of preparation at 20 hours/week from Scratch . My IELTS is maxed out so these 4 points from French will go long way for me. Also, can you point out some useful resources to learn French for non-native. TIA for your feedback.

There was one other good news in 2017 report. Also this can only be calculated indirectly:
There were app. 96 approved applications and 92k of issued visa. With a rough estimation, that app. 40% of all applicants did not need visa for Canada (because they already had some other type of visa), I would estimate app. 129k of all approved applicants.

That would give the average family size less than 1.4 for the family size. And that is including PNP, where family size tends to be bigger.

That is actually the only thing saving the ITA in 3k+ range. Would it be higher (1.7 to 1.9), they would need less ITA (since total waste rate is much lower now).

very interesting theory, so @vensak what do you think the max level of ITA size that CIC can keep up with in the current year? I feel that might not be more than 4000, what do you think?

I don't know much about OINP. Do they issue invitations all year round? Where can I get more info about it?
I was in the pool since Feb 23rd 2018 at CRS 435 and have not been invited?
Hi,
They issue NOIs all year. Although, last time they targeted all candidates (Human Capital) was on Feb 26 but the cut was profiles submitted between Jan 1 and Feb 22, CRS Score range 433-441.

I don't think it's worth for anyone below 430 to get into the draw ANY TIME SOON, for individuals like me who have maxed their scores in IELTS. The only option is to get into a college, throw some money and get a Canadian masters or PG Diploma. But that hope was also shattered as multiple colleges refused me stating that the study gap is more than 10 years.
Knowing that immigration rules can change any point in time, I have decided to pursue French language studies. Anyone who took this step before please help, by directing ppl like me to get equipped (clb 6) in French, in a short span of time.
Hi what do you mean get a Canadian masters? Like apply for a Canadian study permit and study abroad?

Hi guys,

I created my EE profile in July 2017. I recently gave IELTS again and my score is 439. Is there any chance for me to get ITA in next few draws? My NOC code is 2173 and currently lives in US. Is there any chance to get PNP? (OINP or BC)?

Kind of interesting how CIC really wants the score to stay around 440+. Any idea when the next OINP NOIs will be sent out?

guys, please need your guidance

My IELTS score - L-8.5, R-9,W-8,S-7.5........with this, I got CLB10, but my overall score is measly 425 (age 32 and don't have masters).........I have been following this thread for a while and I think scores below 435 are out of question, I don't even see any post from these people...........looking at the current trend, I think it will be unwise to even hope for PNP at this score of 425

Now either I can do masters to increase my score (which will be a time consuming thing) and I am not sure of its validity (I am considering 1 year distance program in India).........the other option is to divert my interest towards Aus 189 visa..........which has also currently become very difficult to acquire with current cut-off scores in the range of 75 (compared to 65 last year, and even 60 earlier).......my score there is currently 70 and if I had got 8 in IELTS speaking, my score would have been 80..........so the other option is to give IETLS or PTE and try getting 8+ in all sections (or equivalent in PTE)........even though I have attempted IELTS only once, I understand how difficult or improbable it is to get 8+ in all sections at same time, but I guess this is the only way left

I think I should proceed with option 2 (Aus), as somehow that doing masters at this point and waiting for more than a year does not seem to be a good idea
