Need help
I am working in Saudi Arabia as Marketing Specialist i have more than $20,000 cash in hand but i do not have bank account in saudi arabia. My employer already made me my experience letter he stated my salary through out all 16 month salary. I want to know can i show this cash as proof of fund or it has to be deposited in account first? One thing more i am leaving Saudi Arabia going back to my home country can i take this money with me as a saving & open account there than can show this money as proof. I can attach forex exchange receipts what other supporting docs are required? If my boss can state in my experience letter my salary and number of time i work for him is it going to be accepted?

The purpose of the proof of fund is to prove that the money is yours and not borrowing from someone else. Having cash doesn't prove anything. You probably need to collect all the documents that you think will consolidate the proof. But there is no guarantee that they will be accepted over bank statements.

Deposit all this money into a Savings account (anywhere in the world) and get letter from bank after couple of months.

After how many

After 2-3 months is it more than enough?

No idea what the other poster is talking about. If you do this it will be clear that a lump sum amount was deposited in a bank account in order to meet the required funds. If you have any proof of where the money came from then you can provide such proof and apply without having to wait whatever 2-3 months the other guy is suggesting.

If you do not have any proof of the source of such funds then that's going to complicate things.

Completely agree...as long as you can genuinely prove that the lump sum deposited is yours then no real need to wait for months...the documents you have showing your salaries from your employer plus a detailed letter of explanation would be sufficient

I have experienced such cases where Visa Officer never asked for Funds Details if one gets an EE FSWP ITA in the draw. So, if the funds are 1-2 months old, no need to prove anything. If and only If, the applicant has a Job and nice salary.

The funds cannot be linked to any debt (unencumbered) so it's recommended to move the money into a separate account away from any loans or debts.

If you have taken a loan, the same amount cannot be used for POF.
