1. Cant find it on the cic website, Can I send a copy of the police certificate? Did anyone actually sent a copy and can tell me it was ok?

2. Sending a certified copy of birth certificate+translation. As for affidavit there is a stamp on the copy saying "certified correct translation" with the name, tel and email of the translator. Think its ok? or need to go and get something else?

Thanks!!

1.) Police Certificate (PCC)

Refer.....Spousal Sponsorship Checklist........you need to send the PCC document.

The Principal Applicant, and any family members 18 or older (who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents), must submit police
certificates from the following country or countries at this time, unless indicated otherwise on the police certificate webpage:
  1. The country where you (or they) currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and
  2. The country where you (or they) have spent most of your (their) life since the age of 18.
How to get a police certificate

2.) If your birth certificate is not in English or French.........you need to translated and certified copy with affidavit from the translator.

Translation of documents
You must send the following for any document that is not in English or French, unless otherwise stated on your document checklist:
  • the English or French translation; and
  • an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
  • a certified copy of the original document.

It also said that you can send a copy unless there is a request for original in the country specific or something. I guess ill send the original just to be safe. ( by the way for my pr i uploaded a copy but it was during the process and now they want it upfront),

2. I know i need an affidavit the question do you think the stamp is enough? or I need a paper form?

Anyway thanx for your time guys
