Hi guys,
I am from Afghanistan currently a master student at the Technical University of Berlin Germany, I have applied for tourism visa based on the country i have visited in Europe I planned to go to Canada just for 14 days. today I received refused letter from Canada embassy based on the following reason.
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your immigration status.
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

I have shown my university student card that I m gonna leave Canada because of my university. and also i have shown my current bank balance as financial ties round about 7500 CAD. I didn't understand the exact reason of refusal like I am not immigrant here in Germany, in Germany, there is a lot of job opportunity as a comparison to other countries special for software engineers. i have clearly mentioned which places i am going to visit in 14 days. now it is confusing. if anybody helps me in this regard

best,
Zakhil

Hi there, it's a drag... but I don't know if there's much you can do about it as they stated clearly the reasons. Why don't you contact the Canadian Consulate to appeal.

An appeal is not advisable because it is generally difficult to disprove that the visa officer erred in the decision.

IMO, the OP has been refused because of the passport that s/he holds + her/his temporary status as a student in Germany. Or maybe s/he is viewed as a potential asylum seeker.

The OP could have better chances of getting a TRV after s/he works in Germany for several months (if eligible after graduation) + establishes stronger ties to Germany + a more solid travel history
