Hello,
I tried to fill the online form. There is a field for biometrics which states that I need to send my fingerprints. Did you guys ignore that field and submitted the application ? Also when i enter my expired emirates id number, I get the error that emirates id is not valid.
Appreciate any inputs. Thanks

Hello Guys,

I would like to share my personal experience in getting police certificate for UAE. I never expected that the process is so simple and it costs 320 AED only. You should have your Emirates ID # with you which you held when you were a resident there ( doesn´t matter if it has expired)

1. Go to Dubai Police Website www.dubaipolice.gov.ae
2. Go to Services -> More
3. Click On Police Clearance Certificate
4. Click Access Service
5. Select 'Outside UAE' in 'I am located?' section
6. Fill out all other information and in "Do you have Emirates ID" section, select "Yes" and then input your
Emirates ID which you used to hold while you were a resident there.
7. Upload your Passport, Photo and Residency Page Copy
8. Click Next
9. Enter your Address (Can be your current address in any country)
10. Enter Payment details. Card being used should be a GCC card.

Thats it. One the payment is submitted, you will get certificate in your email in 1-2 days. They cross-check your information using Emirates ID number.

I hope it helps.

Thanks
Faheem

Hi Faheem,
Thank you very much for this post, it's very helpful! I wish it were written so clearly on formal sites.
I do have one question: after the report is recieved, does it need to be taken to the UAE consulate here for verification or it is all good to upload on CIC?

Thanks very much in advance

Is the soft copy in your email sufficient or we need an original from the police station to be uploaded.?

I already change my passport to my married name, my old Emirates ID is under my maiden name, wondering if that will complicate my application since I need to upload my passport copy. In case, will my old expired passport work? Confused.

Hi All,

I did the same process end of March and got the PCC within a couple of days.

Now my question is:
Did someone get the golden PPR email after they submitted the Dubai/UAE PCC which was received as a result of an Dubai Police online application and not via the published means as mentioned on the CIC website ?

Buddy I am in Canada and I used my Canadian credit card. It accepted it and sent me the payment receipt by email. The PCC arrived after couple of days

They will issue as per the records they have i.e. if your Emirates ID and visa were issued on your old maiden name they will issue the document as per that rather than a new passport a record which they cannot corroborate.

Yeah ignore the biometrics if you have the Emirates ID
You will have to check the Emirates ID number again and maybe try entering it without the dashes.

Hi guys, I'm doing this through the Embassy in Ottawa and one of their required documents is most recent passport. Do they need all pages or just the front with personal details? Also, they asked for the old passport where the visa was stamped. Do I provide just that page or the whole passport copy as well? Thank you!!

You would need to provide the pages where information is mentioned .e.g particulars pages and if you have any UAE visa and/or entry/exit stamps of UAE.
If you have old copy of your passport where your last issued UAE visa was, you can attach it as well along with the particular's page of that passport.

But my question to you will be why go through Embassy in Ottawa when you can get things processed via this link: https://www.dubaipolice.gov.ae/wps/portal/home/services/individualservicescontent/goodconductcertificatecatalog ?

Hello, thank you so much for your response. My only concern is the link to the webpage seems to be only for UAE residents who have valid emirates ID? Or does it apply for temp visitors too?
Thank you!

No if, you read my other post on this same thread, or follow the post mentioned at start of the page, it is for people who have lived in UAE in the past and are non citizen's, but now have moved out of UAE for good.

Technically once your UAE resident visa is cancelled so does your EmiratesID. They need a EmiratesID number(if you a copy of the ID, front and back, it is also great), that was issued previously to you. Even if its cancelled, they can check the ID and the associated Bio-Metrics that are available for them in their database.

If you do not have EmiratesID, "you" may have to go through the embassy route unfortunately, as your biometrics were not captured as part of the EmiratesID system.
