04/05 - Did the payment for EOR
09/05 - Received an acknowledgment that my exam was sent to London
18/05 - Received an e-mail saying EOR was concluded n both scores were changed (as I stated, not saying the new grade tho)

Hello. It’s my first time taking up IELTS. I have no formal training or education. I have zero knowledge on the flow of the exam and I only depend on what I read in the internet. I took the exam last May 5, 2018 in IDP RIYADH SAUDI ARABIA. Got the result May 17, 2018:

Listening: 8.0
Reading: 7.0
Writing: 6.0
Speaking: 7.0

I am having second thoughts on wether to apply for a remark or just take another one. I do have enough time to study again but my problem is the day of the exam. My off is fixed every weekends and they run the tests every weekdays I will apply for a remark tomorrow. I’m hoping to have my writing increase by 1 I will update as soon as I get the result may it be good or bad

I advise you to apply for Speaking remark as well, this way you will have more chance to at least get your money back.

I have also applied for remarking through British council Riyadh, hope we both get an upgrade... U can give exam through BC, here in Riyadh they have written exams on Saturday so it should not be an issue, speaking exams are usually in evening after 4 on weekdays

Thank you dear. But i only have 1 fixed off and that is every friday. They are conducting exams every weekdays so i really don’t have time to sit in another exam. I only asked my supervisor to ask for a timeback which is very difficult what was score by the way? Good luck!! Hoping for the best

Oh, me too same have only Friday off, but took half day off for exam, I got L-8, R-8,W-6.5,S-7.5, missed on writing by 0.5 so applied for remarking on 9th may but no news till date, how about ur score...

Nice scores you got there. You only need .5 from your remarking and I need a whole band to be accepted in the UK. I hope we all get the scores we deserve. I took the exam in IDP last May 5 and I immediately went for a remark today. It’s my 1st time taking up IELTS with no formal training and education. For me also it was my first attempt and I got better score then expected, all with the help of youtube... A lot of people stuck due to 0.5 on writing or speaking... 0.5 can give me 45 points more on crs for Canada... So let's keep hoping and praying for all... God bless all

Wow. I hope we get an upgraded score. I really don’t have time to sit in again. Accdg to IDP I will have my result in 2-4 weeks. Inshallah

BC told me 6-10 weeks, inshallah all of us will get an upgrade... For me I don't want to sit for the exam again bcuz I know I won't get the same score

I have applied for EOR yesterday ,by what time will i receive the acknowledgment mail from BC ...and the guy at BC told me it will take 8-10 weeks to get my result

Hello there,

My First Attempt,

20th Jan 2018 - BC, Ahmedabad Centre - Result went under scrutiny and declared after 35 days - L 8.5, R 8.0, W 6.5, S 7.0
After coming out of exam hall, i had intuition that i have not performed in writing as level 7 Bands
so didn't applied for recheck.

Then comes second attempt - 24th March 2018, IDP - Ahmedabad Centre
L 8.5
R 8.5
W 6.5 (Again)
S 7.0

After one and half month of error reduction in writing, my teacher also said to me that you have greatly reduced the collocations and punctuation errors and i was pretty confident on my writing too. as per the the band descriptors which is also not transparent (Clearly states that public version).

So had a gut feel that i have performed to the Band 7 level of writing and applied for EOR on 10th April, 2018

Still no update.

Same here . I had taken it on 24 March , but from British council.
Applied EOR on16 April.
Got a message saying 12 to 14 weeks.
Any idea why so much of time?
