How long background check will take?

i applied family sponsorship in-land immigration before Dec 7, 2016. i am still in background check. is there anyone knows how long it will take?

You applied before Dec 7, 2016? What day did you actually apply? Have you not heard anything since 2016? Have you ordered GCMS notes?

Same issue here! December 2nd, 2016, still nothing happening. I'm sure it'll all be fine, it's just the waiting that's getting to me.

Background check is never ending and it will not change to complete unless you land as a PR. Mine changed to completed the day after i landed.

In my CIC, it shows they received my application on Dec 1, 2016. I did the medical exam in this March. And it shows "You passed the medical exam." in my CIC account. The medical exam status was changed only two to three days after i took the medical exam. how is that possible? The doctor told me the test result will take 2-3 months.

this is completely normal. if you are within your 12 months, there is nothing to worry about.

It is already over 12 months, i submitted my application on Dec 1, 2016. It is already 17 months from that time.

I'm the sponsor, but yes, medical was done and passed (we submitted it up-front, so it'll probably have to be done again, since it has likely expired by now).

Mp is member of parliament. Google who your local one is. Visa office is vo. Where is your app being processed? I did my app by myself as well... you can also send a case specific enquiry (google how to do that) asking for an update or call ircc
