Returning to Canada

Hi,
I'm currently an international student. I'm planning to go back home this December 26, 2018 and return to Canada by January 7, 2019. My passport expires on July 16, 2019. Do you think this is alright? Considering about the 6-month rule of passport validity. Or should I renew my passport before I go?

Canada does not have a 6 month passport validity rule.

but you must renew you passport as soon as you can in canada. find your country consulate embassy do it there
