I hope you have had success by now! I am still waiting! 22 months! unbelievable! the CBC Radio out of Toronto has been airing a few call in show on this and people are speaking out. I to am a Provincial Gov't Employee in the Security Cluster (go figure) not that we deserve any special treatment but still!!!! We are less likely to be giving false info because of our occupations!! I am so frustrated and angry and fed up! I have written so many letters and get the same old BS back! I voted for this Gov't because they claimed change would happen, any one who applied in the "New Program" Dec 2016, their spouse is already here! SMH! they let us down and they did something so wrong by not clearing us off first! it's disgraceful!!!
I am still waiting too! 22Months Now! curious to know how many others are still waiting from June 2016! this is disgusting and disgraceful treatment of Canadian Citizens trying to be with their spouses. I am furious at this treatment, they have completely failed us and this "New Program" started in Dec 2016 is a damn farce, spouses are already here under this new program! they should have cleared us first before starting this, they did such a bad thing to us and they should be ashamed!! I have written letter after letter and nothing but BS returned to me. CBC Radio in Toronto has done a few call in shows on this very thing and people are speaking out. if you are on FaceBook there is a page called Spouse Sponsorship living outside Canada. they don't update a lot but they have some info that is interesting and you can send a message to ask a question. and Yes contact your Liberal MP and send letters and call CIC, do all you can because this is ridiculous!!Hello vidaj! We contacted the local PM, ordered GCMS note several times. But the response was same: “ in progress”. It’s so frustrating right? Even we don’t know where to go or what to do
It is so heartbreaking! I have sent letters to Trudeau, to Ahmed Hussen and all you ever get back is thank you for your email blah, blah, blah. seems so many from 2016 are in this same situation. it's so unfair that anyone who put in an application as of Dec 2016, under the "New Program" their spouses are already here! anyone before Dec 2016 is "oh well, who cares, we will get to you when we can!" and they don’t even tell anythingyes, we are 23 months now. did you ask for your notes? maybe you can see something from those? ours just say's Security: in process and Criminality: in Process. i have no answers for you, I have just been doing updates with my MP and sending letters to Hussen and Trudeau. I sent emails to Trudeau and Hussein too. But the reply is same as well.. and my application is in that security stage for the last one year!! So frustrating

We are so heartbroken! Are there many others in this same situation? I feel we are the only ones!No there are not so many! 90%got their PR within one year!So sorry to hear.
This is ridiculous!! I have decided to send a letter to trudeau and hussen every week now! I am making a file and I have a name of a reporter with Toronto Star who writes about immigration. I am fed up, not very good press for liberals right now either.....
July 2015 outland applicant here... our remedical is expiring this June we sent email informing them that our remedical is expiring next month their reply is 'your application is qued for review by an officer' sooo frustrating
