When did you send your photos? We have sent ours on 10th April (CIC received on 10th as per tracking), but have not received any update yet. Calling them gives us the same answers: photo processing date is 9th April. It looks like the usual processing time is 20-26 days. We don't understand the reason for the delay in our processing.

I sent on 10th march. I think they have lost my photos.

Just to update,

Landed Feb 12
Online PR Approval March 21

After weeks of calling I finally got through to an Agent today, The Agent said my PR Card was dispatched on March 14, 2018 and returned to CIC April 12, 2018 by Canada post because the address was deemed undeliverable (even though mail is received there all the time) The CIC Agent said it may be that the postal agent was new and did not know the route...... anyways they said they will dispatch the cards again today I am hopeful that I will receive them very soon.

So..... I called again yesterday just to check and see if my card was dispatched....and to my surprise they were still at the office so I asked the agent when will they be dispatched and he said he did not know I will have to wait another 90 days!!!!! I was dumbfounded and thought obviously this agent must be mistaken... anyhow i kept my composure thanked him, hung up and IMMEDIATELY tried calling again in the hopes that I would get an Agent who was more knowledgeable, lucky I did and she informed me that the cards are generally dispatched within a week of being updated and I should expect mine to be going out by May 10.... so once again I am back in waiting mode...... waiting is stressful :-( .......

Hi,

We landed on 23 March, I received the update regarding our PR Card application in my CIC Account. It says "APPROVED", does this applicable to Dependents as well? 'Coz, only PA 's No. is mentioned. It also says "no ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED".......Is this normal or will they send Photo request for dependents later?

Would appreciate feed back from someone who experienced the same scenario?

So..... Ignorance is bliss....I could not link my application or call CIC since I was outside Canada. Got my PR card in hand on 50th day from landing. No point stressing my friend. Just go out and have some fun with friends and family....you will soon find your card in your mailbox

Approved: April 30, 2018
Received: May 4, 2018

It was the same procedure for me - the guy at the Visa office pasted one photo on the CoPR and returned the other photo to me. I don't think this has any bearing on our rejected photos. Our photos were rejected because they didn't meet specifications.

Good luck to us. Hopefully our PR cards will be in our hands sooner rather than later.

I see where you are coming from however, they do say as one of the specifications for the photos they have to have stamped date on the back and the address of where this photo was taken. Mine i know for sure didn't have this and i believe 100% this is why they were rejected. How does the person processing my card know when this photo was taken and where.... for all they know this isn't me and it could've been take 10 years ago so they have to reject it.

I should've paid more attention to the one she took from my 2 pictures i gave her oh well lesson learned!

March 13-2018: Submitted all paper works
May 1 - 2018 : Ready for Visa
May 2 - 2018 : Passport sent to Ottawa
May 7 - 2018 : Passport Reached in Ottawa
May 8 - 2018 : Passport dispatched
May 9 - 2018 : Application approved status in CIC
May 9 - 2018 : Received Passport

I called again this morning, the agent she mentions same old stuff "working on photo's received on 9th April"
from last two weeks, they are still on 9th April.... its frustrating that too when we have trips lineup ...

I have received a letter to resubmit my photos on May 03, 2018 in myCIC Account. I have immediately taken new pictures in a studio and sent it via Canada Post on May 03. In the tracking, I saw it was received on May 07 in Sydney NS. Today, in email I received the same letter but dated as today. I am super confused. Is it a mistake from their end or they really want to get another sets of photographs? I took the pictures in a good professional studio. Does anyone have similar experience?

CIC is stupid. Their one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. It's the same photo request sent by mail and email. Just send a Case specific enquiry with your photo submission details.
