I sat for IELTS exam through BC Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 7th April 2018
Got Result on 21st April: L 8.5, R: 8, W: 7.5, S: 6.5
I Applied straight away for EOR on speaking module since I was confident about my speaking part.

EOR Applied: 23rd April 2018
No confirmation received after that, but on 6th May received an email that result has been changed
Speaking improved from 6.5 to 7.5
So if you are confident go for it best of luck.

Applied for EOR for Speaking 6.5 04/24/2018 - Handed the forms to the IELTS admin where I took the test
EOR result email 05/08/2018 - Ielts admin emailed that it is complete and I can pick up my TRF. No result was disclosed in the email. Reeval was done by BC.

Speaking result changed from 6.5 to 8.0

I was really confident that I did very well in Speaking. Last time I got a 9 in speaking. Glad I went for reevaluation. Thank You everyone, I followed all the posts here and decided to go for reeval.

How come they missed it by 1.5???!!!!!

In these cases, they should refund not only the EOR but also the exam fee.

Same thoughts....If they marked it 7 I can understand that they missed it by just 0.5 but 1.5 points difference is something I don’t understand either. Last time I got 8,8,6.5,9 and missed by just 0.5 in writing. This time it was speaking. They are refunding my EOR fee.

Yeah, it is difficult not to think that they act intending to hold the applicant in these cases! Seriously, if u read the guideline about what determines band score ''8'' and ''6.5'', I would say it is impossible for someone who is entitled as a''specialist'' to make such mistake!

Exactly...I don’t know how they can make a band difference of 1.5. Atleast they changed it, Thank God!

Also I forgot to mention, I got a msg from BC that my candidate number is :XXXXXXX (which wasn't my candidate number) and then after 45 minutes, I got a msg that my correct candidate number is XXXXXXX, also they said please ignore the previous msg.
How can they make such a mistake?? and if that is the case there is 0.1% chance that my result is swapped with someone's result. IELTS is the most stupid thing ever!

Hi Guys,

I gave my IELTS on 24th March and got 9987 (LRSW). I got busy in work and could not apply for EOR. Can i still apply for it? Is there any timeline within which one needs to apply?

Why do you need to apply for reval ? Your IELTS score is enough for an ITA

I can’t help but notice there’s hardly anyone in this forum that’s applied for an EOR from Latin America, so here’s my experience.

I took the test last Apt 21st in guadalajara mexico and these are my results.

L 9
R 9
S 9
W 6.5!!

I honestly feel scammed, I objectively know I wasn’t as good in writing as I was in the rest of the test, but a 2.5 band difference is ridiculous!

I’m applying for an EOR (for which I paid around 85 USD)

I’ll let you know if I get a change, I also only selected writing for te check but was tempted to select all parts to show the reviewer the difference.

This is obviously a crooked business.

How long does IDP-India takes to declare re-evaluation results?

This was my 5th Attempt and in my last 3 attempts i got band 7 in writing. I am just hoping and praying for that "additional 0.5"

what ..really.. i have seen people here commented in USA they got EOR results within a week or 10 days... but all were IDP..

was your exam by IDP or not?
did you check with your center why is it taking so much time even when they say it takes 6-8 weeks... which is still less than 2 months

It was IDP. You are right. One of my friend who in fact applied for remarking a week later than mine received her revised results in two weeks. I had been sending emails to the centre and they had been saying no update. Last day when I checked with them they did not think it was necessary to respond.
