Hi All,

Its been a year now & absolutely no luck or progress with my score.
Its quite frustrating....
As you can see below , I am losing our marginally & a minimum score of 8777 will take my score to 469 from 403

IELTS (March '17) : L:7.5 R:6.0 W:7.5 S:8.0 British Council
IELTS (Aug '17) : L:9.0 R:6.0 W:6.5 S:8.0 British Council
IELTS (Feb '18) : L:8.0 R:6.5 W:7.0 S:6.5 IDP
IELTS (March '18) : L:7.5 R:7.0 W:6.5 S:7.5 British Council
CLB 9 will take my score to 469 from 403

Any advice's , please feel free...

Had been into this situation, I cleared my IELTS in the fifth attempt. Unlike your situation, I have always been losing .5 in any of the four modules. So once, I got enough in L, R and S - W was .5 less, then I got good in L,S,W but R was .5 less and then R,S,W was good but L was .5 less and this happened again.

Keep trying and don't give us, things will happen. May be this is your final one to get the scores.
Best of Luck!

Hahaha yeah... Didn't expect those scores anyway...however, if not for those scores, I wouldn't hv thought about immigration in d first place...
haha yeah that score was actually an omen for you. I am planning on improving mine too. was considering CELPIP but last night read some very bad reviews and now I'm indecisive.

This is very unfortunate. I hope you get a better score next time. Have you tried subscribing to any IELTS tutoring website? Its worth it. I would recommend Liz.. Go through her free videos on youtube to decide if you want to subscribe or not. I know many people who improved their scores by a big margin (some even went from 6 to 7.5) after following her tips in writing section. I didn't pay much attention, and didn't study at all :( Here I am now, losing 3 precious points because of my band 7 in writing test :(

Almost. Need experience letters from employers and medical tests pending. Everything else seems to be in place.
That's great. I would say, first of all, start contacting the employers/colleagues for reference letters, get the salary slips, tax returns, employment contracts sorted out, then medical, and last but not the least, get the proof of funds a week before submitting the applications. Also keep developing a good letter of explanation in case you cannot get experience letters in the format that CIC recommends. Two of my employers refused to issue experience letter in that format.
Start asap. and hey, have you been maintaining the balance required for immigration in your account for the past 4-5 months? I hope so..You don't wanna end up in the pool again like me :p

Very true... but dont know if smoking history would eventually show TB changes on the x-ray.. this is d first time I am worrying about my chest x-ray afterall..
Don't worry. Most of us are in the same boat as you :) They don't reject smokers for sure. But we need to start tapering off cigarettes for our own sake.

I am planning to use a gift deed which I have already made. Why didn't you go for a gift deed?
