I understand this question is asked often on this forum (I've searched). I'm asking what's the best way to portray my ties to my home country. So far, I am proving the following:

Economic Ties:
  • Small amount of shares in a public limited company/family business. I demonstrate this using an official document issued by the government.
  • I have contributed to this company significantly in six years here, in terms of technology, and will be continuing here after my degree. My sponsor's affidavit (sponsored by the above mentioned company) mentions this. Shall I provide a formal letter? The issue is I would be just continuing, albeit in a better position, at the company. My father is the CEO of this company and has the majority of shares.
  • Property under my name. I don't know how this shows ties but everyone sends this in, so I am too.
Family/Social Ties:
  • I studied for my undergrad in the UK for three years. During every break (Christmas, Easter, Summer), I came back to my country. This is demonstrated by countless exit and entry stamps. I highlight this fact in my SOP.
  • I have (business) travel history to Thailand (twice) and China in past 5 years. I have never overstayed any visit. I don't highlight this anywhere in my SOP.
  • No immediate family member lives in Canada.
  • I have never lived other than my home address except three years of my undergrad.
In my SOP, I talk extensively why I want this degree and how the benefits from it. It's an engineering based business and my degree is also in engineering. The idea is to make advanced quality assurance technologies to increase competitiveness.
What else can I show to prove I have strong ties to my country and intend to return?

This is a good home ties.. you have to show the letter as proof of your contributions to the company for the 6yrs, and also provide your siblings birth certificates as proof of family ties

You can also show a handover letter to take over your father's or family business if any, and also an offer letter of employment and state convincing reasons why they would wait for you till after the completion of your program when someone can easily fill in for you etc

The letter of employment that I have lists my salary, positions, benefits and responsibilities. I have included card of my immediate supervisor.

I can see what I can do about a handover letter.

and also an offer letter of employment and state convincing reasons why they would wait for you till after the completion of your program when someone can easily fill in for you etc

Regarding offer of employment => I can arrange one but the affidavit of support already lists that they will grant me a leave of absence and I will be rejoining them.

They also list the fact that why they are sending me but not why they would wait for me. Is this enough? My concern is providing too much documentation. I explain my relevant work in my SOP and how it would benefit the business if I get the education I seek.

If the documents serves as proof, then you have to include it even if its too much.. except if its not going to help the case

I think you should mention at least why they will wait for you, just to sauce it up

Above all.. I think your home ties is good

OK. Thank you. I will PM you shortly btw.

Also, regarding birth certificates, In my county we have something better: a document from the government that lists my father, mother and all siblings and their DOB, address etc.
