Does a baby get Canadian PR automatically if the mother receives it through sponsorship ?

Hi guys ... I want to discuss a situation I have thought of, but am not currently in. I'm a Canadian PR but my wife isn't (yet!). Suppose I sponsor my wife for outland Canadian PR and then while her PR application is in progress, she gives birth to a baby, does the baby automatically get Canadian PR, or do I have to apply for the baby's PR sponsorship too and wait for that to come through ??

You'll have to add the baby in your wife's apllication as a dependant.

Agree with @Shineon39

Newborn will not automatically get Canadian PR..........you need to add the baby to your wife's application as a Dependant.

If the baby is born outside Canada before your wife land as PR in Canada.........make sure you add the newborn as your wife Dependant in the spousal sponsorship application for newborn to get PR.........as you don't want to later sponsor only the newborn as a Dependant Child.
