Visa Extension Approved but Asking for Medical

Hi All,

My girlfriend recently had an aproval letter saying that her visitor visa extension has been approved. But now we also got an e-mail saying she needs to do a Medical Exam. Now when we looked we didnt need an Exam since she wasnt going to work with Kids or Elderly or anything. Then we got the approval then we got a request to do the exam. Do we still need to do the exam now that we got approved? Maybe they mixed something up? Also couldnt get through to an agent at immigration canada, the phones are too busy.

Staying longer than 6 months will require a medical exam.

As in longer than 6 months with the time she had here + the time we applied for the extension? Yeah that would Push it to 7 months. So even though she has been approved she will need to get the medical exam. Thanks a lot for your help.

She still needs to do the medical. It is common for IRCC to approve visitor extensions contingent on getting the medical done. The actual Visitor Record she will receive should state that the medical is required in the "Conditions".
