I will be shortly submitting an affidavit to ircc as documents of best efforts to convince my hubbys ex to consent for my stepson medicals, although he is non-accompanying.

Now the issue is the affidavit will be in Hindi for which a certified translation with affidavit is required. However I will be also adding details of WhatsApp messages to his ex and his ex-fatherinlaw which is in gujarati language but English script used. Do I need to have this also translated from certified translator with affidavit or self translation can be done. Will be sending this over to New Delhi vo.

Any document which is not in English or French has to be translated. If you are writing a native language in English, that too will need a translation.

I was in IP1 from Feb 27th and moved to IP2 on Apr 11th and also saw ghost update. What does it indicate ? Additional documents : Not applicable. I submitted by FBI PCC at the end of extension period.

No speculation. Request your GCMS notes. anyone speculation what it may mean, is just speculation and nothing else.

Is it possible to start security screening after 13 months of AOR ? Or it's just regular background verification ?
I am CEC Outland. Currently Background is in IP2 since Feb-27-2018.
I sent them required documents on Jan-10-2018 after they sent me Procedural Fairness Letter on Dec-15-2017.
Could you please tell me usually howmuch time it takes to verify this documents ????

You should get your GCMS notes. After documents are submitted, it takes 1-3 weeks for IRCC to add them to the file and another 1-2 weeks to review them.

I spoke to an agent recently the agent said that my eligibility is Recommend Passed and security/criminality not started yet. What does this indicate? my online status still shows IP1.

The eligibility takes place in 2-3 stages. First an analyst will review your docs. Then based on that make a recommendation. This recommendation os then reviewed by an officer who will make a final determination. Even though your notes may say that your eligibility is passed or met until you see the status on page 2 as passed, your eligibility is not passed.

In your case the analyst has made a recommendation and it is awaiting a review from an officer.

I am a PR in Canada. Currently living and working in Ontario.

When I applied for PR, my wife and daughter were included as unaccompanied for family reasons.

My wife and daughter wanted to celebrate my daughter's birthday with me in Canada, which is in June.

They applied for a TRV and got a multiple entry visa which has a validity of a year.

Now since they got a visa for a longer period I want to go back, stay for a few weeks in my country, and bring them with me to Canada.

Will it be a problem if they enter after June but within their visa validity period? (They have a Multiple Entry Visa of 1 year)

I am asking because in their application they mentioned purpose of visit is celebrating the birthday in June.

Will there be any issue at the border if they arrive after June?

If the visa is valid, the visa holder can enter the country anytime during that duration. At the port of entry the CBSA officer will ask for the reason and the duration of stay. Just give an honest answer and no need to worry .

Guys I have a unique situation due to the complicated visa situation in the US I am worried about leaving to Canada and not being able to get my visa restamped to come back to the US? Would it be possible to extend my landing deadline for a full year or do you have any other suggestions for someone in my situation?

Highly unlikely, but at the discretion of IRCC. IRCC does give extensions in meritorious cases, or where there is a hardship. But I don't see your case falling in this definition. Further a 1 year extension is too long and not justified. This will should that you do not intend to live permanently in Canada, a prerequisite which you have to meet.

We got Canada PR in 2006. We did soft landing. Got PR card delivered to our friends house. Not able to settle during card validity period from 2006 - 2011. Now we applied again. Got nominated by OINP. our application has come to final stage. Now they are asking us fill up some application ? How serious is this problem. Can you just elaborate?

The issue is with your intention to reside permanently in Canada. Since you abandoned your PR before, IRCC is just making sure that you actually do intend to reside.

Hi @legalfalcon. My file is at NDVO. My gcms notes say eligibility not passed on second page.however case process officer at cio has put notes that A11.2 met.the officer has also written “proof of funds review required- family of 2 needs 15500 cad”. I have shown 17000 cad which is all available.
Is this a reason for me to be concerned? Or is this standard that the lvo has to check?

An interview request during the PR application is called to verify some of your details which IRCC has issues with. So make sure your go prepared. They will ask you some questions on your application, just answer them, and you will be fine. The questioning will be towards the aspect of your application which IRCC wants to verify, or could be on your marriage.

If it is marriage, then you and your spouse can be interviewed in different rooms and then later your answers will be matched to see if your lied. It is a very calm conversation.

Just a quick question. We've just received our notes, which say that we have passed eligibility, but next to security it is just blank (doesn't say not started or anything at all). Is that a sign of us being in SS?

Security details are always retracted. You will see s15 / s16 at the top right corner. This does not mean SS. All security related in GCMS notes is retracted.

I just want to know if everything is okay cuz i know people usually say they noticed changes in review of additional documents.
Please assist.

Applying for GCMS notes does not result in a change of status in your MyCIC portal.

I have a unique issue here that I am looking for some advice.
My CRS score is 440. I submitted my OINP application back in March, still with no change in the status ( shows submitted in website).
Meanwhile, I am also applying to business schools in Canada for MBA. And some very lucrative offers came from schools outside Ontario.
Which brings me to my question- if I accept OINP, and get PR status, can I study for two years in a different province other than ontario?

If you have shown 17K, no need to worry. The officer will review it and you will be fine.
