Same Company, Two Positions, Two NOC

Hi, I am about to apply to e-APR and I am facing this issue.
I am working on the same company from 2016 to present. My first designation was in a different NOC and for very short time. I was promoted and reassigned to the NOC under which I am applying. Since then, my contract ended twice and I continued under extended contract. Same position, same NOC, however, different projects. Salary and benefits changed during these transitions. In my EE profile, I showed it in a single work experience however I am now wondering if I should show my first designation and the later ones separately.

You can't mix different NOCs together. They should be separated.

Does that mean, I should also modify work experience to make it two fields and then explain that in LOE? Also, should I get two reference letters for that?

Yes that's what I'd do.
You can use one reference letter but it needs to list two positions separately.
