In the document 0008 Generic Application Form question 14 they ask me if I have previously been married, I am confused, I was married but I dont know if I should write the date that I separated or the date that officially I was divorced because I started my current common in law relationship after I separated but before I got my divorce certificate, please somebody help us, Thank you

you have to be honest, because cic and ircc have ways to snoop in your past if they found out your divorce and not told them they consider you lying to them and make you ineligible to sponsor your common law

You were still legally married until the day you divorced. Put the date of the divorce and include a letter of explanation.
