The communication was in two parts; one was to me (sponsor) and other emails were directly sent to my husband's email requesting Schedule A, police clearance and medical. It also gave instructions to link the application to the online account.

The email sent to me was stating that am approved as his sponsor.

My husband (sponsor) just received an email which states they’ve received our application and they also gave us application number. What do you think will be the next step? I’m soooo relieved now, I know it’s a loooong way ahead but just receiving this email has made my entire month ;D

I received the sponsorship approval email about two weeks after I received my application number.

I received it 43 days after submitting my spouse's application.

About linking the application , we both have got separate emails so how does this work? Do we both make separate account and link it with our GC key or what? Also is there a possibility that you received your Eligiblity message after linking your account?

PA has to link the application. I linked it to my sign in partner account (my Canadian bank account user id and password). I got the sponsor eligibility mail on the same day.

principal applicant should make a gc key id and link the application to gckey .. this will expedite the process

I received an email. Once you get a mail that's when you link your application to your GC key or sign in partner. all correspondences following the linking process will be then updated there and no more mails. But they do send mails to let you know that you have received a new mail, pls sign in to check (something like that)

pa has a time limit of 7 days to link application .. so please hurry up..
