I am currently visiting Montreal, where my boyfriend is. I have applied for a Visa and are still waiting for an answer. I have been here since the 3th. of January and are going back home to my city, Copenhagen the 16th. of May. I would like to go back to Montreal again after a short vacation in Denmark. Is that possible? I have read that I am only allowed to be in Canada for max. 6 month without a visa. What will be the minimum of days I have to spend outside Canada before I can go back for an other 6 month? Or at least until my visa is approved. Thanks

What have you actually applied for?

Family class sponsorship

Are you common-law? Did you apply inland or outland?

There is no set max time you can be in Canada. With a sponsorship app in process, you can easily extend your stay as a visitor and stay beyond 6 months.

If you do go to Denmark, provided you have proof of the PR app and proof of funds, you should have no issues entering Canada. Remember that you would be entering as a visitor to be with your partner while the app processes, not living in Canada.

Yes I am common-law-partner. I applied outland.
I have the official receipt from when I payed for my application. What is the PR app you´re talking about? Thanks you so much for all your inserts.

Applying for sponsorship = applying for PR.
