I partially agree with your comment.. can you find the refernce of that they will use the current family size for all years?
To me they should see the family size for each year indipendently.

so in my case they probably see my gross income for 4 family member for the years 2015 and 2016.
For 2017/2018 they will evaluate me based on 5 family members.

To be honest, i have more than enough gross income to support all 5 members during all requested years. but i am not convinced on providing information that is miss representing.

The only family size IRCC cares about, and that you can enter calculations for, is family as of today (when you do the application). They do not care about family size in previous years that doesn't reflect your current situation.

So your family size is 5 in all previous year.

Just read the forms. They only ask you to calculate family size as of when you fill in the app. There is no calculation provided for previous years. The number you come up with based on today's family size, is the only one they ask you to use.

So if you think you should do your own calculations in previous years, then you should be finding the reference that they want old family sizes in previous years since it doesn't indicate that anywhere that I can see. And based on your logic why is your family size 4 in previous years, shouldn't it be 2 since you weren't sponsoring your parents in those years?

IRCC wants to see you meet 3 years of consistent income to meet your family size today, that you will be financially responsible for as part of your app. Why would they be satisfied if you only met old family sizes that have nothing to do anymore with your situation today? Logically this does not make sense for requiring the 3 years in the first place.

Send it by courier like fedex.
Hi all,

I can understand the relevant forms require principal applicant, spouse or common-law partner, sponsor, and, co-signer signature (if applicable). Does this mean that one can sign and scan, email and then other(s) can sign, which will allow a document to be signed by all, as and where necessary, and, then print the final copy and send it to CIC?

My question is - Will CIC accept scanned signed copy since it would definitely not be like signing the original copy after the print out?

Please assist.

Thanks

Thanks! I was filling out the forms today, and noticed that the "Additional Family Information" form Section C "info about brothers and sisters" has only 3 rows, and no way to add more. Did you encounter this issue ? I suppose we could print out another form and add more siblings of our parents, as needed. I found it strange, because the forms from 2 years ago had more rows.
Hi all,

My parents DO NOT want to disclose about their brothers and sisters due to family differences. Is that ok to put 'Not Applicable' in all the fields

Please assist.

Thanks.

So I am in process of getting the application package ready and based on my experience, following are the key points which I would like to suggest the fellow sponsors/ applicants:
  1. Make sure you choose the below option in form IMM1344 (Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement)

  2. Everytime you do a change in the information entered in the form, do not forget to click Validate on the forms (is Validate button is in the form).

  3. For IMM4506 (Additional Family Information), do not forget to write names in native (non-english) language if your parents are coming from country where English is not an official or national language.

  4. In the application package Include the printed ITA letter received from IRCC via email. Surprisingly the checklist hasn't asked for it, but i believe that should be provided by applicant, just to avoid any confusion at IRCC's end. That might just be me being little more careful!
  5. Do not forget to provide USE OF REPRESENTATIVE FORM IMM5476, I am sure all sponsors are willing to be Representative of their parents.

  6. In Supporting Document - Part B section of checklist, I would suggest to check mark on the Proof of Income or Notice of Assessment....... option and accordingly provide NOA or any other proof of income for yourself and your co-sponsor (if applicable). Though i found this section of checklist little confusing; in first read it appeared that the sponsor is required to provide NOA only if the sponsor denies providing his or her SIN number in form IMM5768. But i believe the NOAs are to be provided regardless of response provided in IMM5768. I don't believe it will hurt!

I am preparing the forms and mailing/ courier the physical printed forms to them, this will avoid them a hassle of printing the documents. Then they will go through the forms and sign them, if they find everything alright in the forms. After that they will courier those back to me with the Photographs, photocopies of their passport pages, Marriage certificate/ affidavits etc.

Please note that above suggestions are on the basis of my understanding.

Hi,

Anybody from Quebec. I am from Quebec and got invited to apply. Somebody told me that while sending initial application to CPC-M, we need to send all the financial information (2017 Tax Returns, job letter, pay stubs etc) although the document checklist doesn't say anything. Is anybody from Quebec sending those initially to CPC-M? Also, do we need to send any document for parents in their home country initially, like Bank statements, Job letter if working? Any advice?

Hi,

I am a Quebec candidate applying for PGP2018?

Do we need to complete and submit in the application package ?
-> Financial evaluation sponsorship IMM-5768-E

No they should disclose otherwise it is misrepresentation. Their siblings won't have to do anything so not sure what the big deal is.

Hi canuck78,

Thanks for the reply.

Well, with the immigration you never know when they will ask for supporting evidence or document for what you are disclosing. We do not want their names to be part of the application form(s). Plus we do not have any information at all as not in touch since ages.

The question is if CIC is not worried to perform any verification on parents siblings and do not want any supporting evidence or document then even if we don't disclose how in this world they would ever get to know or try to know?

Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding my birth certificate. I prepared the documents in the end of 2016 when the copy of my birth certificate was notarized and officially translated. I could not send the documents in 2017 because of the program changes. This year I have won the lottery. Can I still use the notarized and translated copy of my birth certificate that I prepared in Dec. 2016?
Hi,

Do we need just the 'photocopy of the original document' or 'notarized/certified' copy of the original document ?
-> As per the PDF sent by CIC via email - it says: If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the original version.

-> as per the instruction guide -
Certified true copies
To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must (as described below) compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

  • “I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
  • the name of the original document,
  • the date of the certification,
  • his or her name,
  • his or her official position or title, and
  • his or her signature.

Just a heads up!

For form IMM 5669 Schedule A – Background/Declaration, under Authority to Disclose Personal Information section, it appears that no signatures are required if the name of the applicant is typed in the signature box, there is no instruction on the form stating that after typing the name, the form has to be signed by hand also (after printing the form). However in the application guide (Screenshot 2) there are instructions i.e. type the name, print the form, sign the form with hand. I wish IRCC would have put the same instruction in the form also, there is a great chance that people will assume that the signatures with hand are not required. I recommend everyone to read Guide 5772 again and again.

Please note that the form IMM 5669 is required to be filled by principle applicant, co-applicant/ spouse and their dependent children aged 18 years or older (if applicable).

Hi,

Is this only for form IMM 5669 or for all other forms?
Does Spouse require to sign all the forms too?

For forms IMM5406 , i dont have birth date of my deceased grand parents. I do have their deceased date. what date should i put for their birthdate. Should i mention as not avaialble.

Also for form IMM5768, it ask for income from current company to till date, so should we enter the amount earned for this year, and if yes can we just roughly put the amount for first 3 months of salary.

Also my parents are here on supervisa, so should i used the UCI number starting from VXXXXX . Or can i leave it blanks?

In Imm5768 (Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents sponsorship) my spouse is going to be a co sponsor, should the number of family members be the same as mine?

My calculation is, me + my wife + daughter + my parents = 5
Should my co-sponsors be 3 or 5?

Also should I fill out imm0008depenu.pdf (additional dependents declaration form), my father and mothers details are already covered in imm0008enu_2d.pdf (generic application form for Canada), they have no other dependents.
