job opportunnities for research professionals in CANADA

appreciate if someone could guide me on how is the job market for oil field professional in CANADA. I hold a doctorate degree(PHD) in chemistry and have 6 years of oil field experience in R & D area. I'm checking an option to migrate to Canada but not sure about the current situation and jobs in oil field sector.

any relevant information will be a great help.

Your qualifications and education are pretty specialized I'm not sure you will get enough info on this forum have you tried reaching out to other PhD graduates or students in your area of research that are working or studying in Canada? Linkedin is probably a better bet.
