Hello Everyone,

Today i received a letter for my parents sponsorship. I am single meeting all the income requirements.

I have a brother who is mentally disabled and lives with my parents back home. He is 25 years old. When I was applying for their application I did mention 1 dependent (which is my brother). Now my question is it ok that i apply for him to come to canada?

If he has an assessed medical condition and relies on them completely (so is unable to hold his own job or live independently), then he can be included as a dependent.

The catch is that due to his medical condition he may fail the medical exam under excessive demand test on Canada's healthcare and social services, causing the app to be rejected for everyone. You will need a good mitigation plan put together or prognosis from specialists that shows he will not be seen as a burden to Canada.

Hello, I received confirmation that I am good to sponsor my parents, but I’m missing 50 dollars as cut off to 2015 tax income, but I lived in Quebec where income is low, do I need to attach explanation letter to the government and hope they approve me as sponsor

Quebec only needs 1 year income to qualify, so 2015 income would be irrelevant. They most likely just want 2017 income meeting special Quebec LICO amount and that's it.

You say "lived" in Quebec. Do you still live there?

Great, thank you, I also read about it on immigration website,

Another question: how much time does it take to finalize sponsorship? I think it is a two stage process: sponsor and parents. Any idea how many months might each stage take: are we taking here about months or years? Thank you

How much time it will take to receive a confirmation of selection? I'm complying the income conditions for the last 3 years.
