As I have said earlier I have requested to add my younger daughter to my file I received a letter from CPC,Mississauga dt.March07 on March13 to send 1)CAD150/- processing fee(2)IMM1344(3)IMM0008(4)IMM5669(5)IMM5669(6)IMM5406 (7) Proof of Medical Examination by Child (8)Pcc from India and Canada and her documents like Passport,Birth Certificate etc before April 05. I have everything except PCC from India.Will submit on receiving all the documents. This is for information of all my Forum Members. May GOD bless us all.

My parents application transferred to NDVO from Ottawa after 2 year of processing in Ottawa. What does that mean. Kind of worried as previous medical done on 2nd Feb' 2017.

They are based in Abu Dhabi and will submit their passport here. Any ideas about the timeframe for Abu Dhabi in returning the Passport?

I would like to thank everyone in this forum for your support and valuable process information; I found it really helpful during the waiting period. Finally we received my parents passports along with visa yesterday. After 2 years and 2-1/2 months the process is completed. They will come to Canada this summer to land. I wish rest of you, who are waiting good luck; hoping the waiting will be over for you guys asap.

Anyone knows what are the key things parents will need to have once they land:

Any medical insurance for first 2-3 months until they get their Health Card? If yes, which one is a good option? This is first time my parents will visit Canada.

PR card: What is the waiting period to apply? And how long it takes to get the PR card?
Provincial Health card: What is the waiting period to apply? And how long it takes to get the PR card?
SIN card: What is the waiting period to apply? And how long it takes to get the PR card?
Anything else?

Can someone please share his/her experiences for these? Appreciate it.

My parents got PPR request 3 weeks ago and they got their passports back with visa stamps. Finally after 2 years and 3 months ....this is done.

Wish everyone here has good luck with the PR processing and all get the PR soon

Hi Hogujak! If you want to ask them fill up the WEBForm and they will reply you within 28 working days.Another option is EMail your LVO which processes your file.

I got an email today from visa office that they are missing my mom's medical(they didn't send me the medical exam document for her....). I asked them to send me the medical form (IMM1017E) so she can get it done. How long will it take for visa office to get back to me usually?

Or is there any way I can speak to someone from the visa office(Ottawa)?

I check the forum at least 5 times a day and email more often. Not counting the daily check into the CIC account to see if there is any update...
Hopefully this hard and emotionally draining 2yrs+ journey gets over soon for all of us...

Sent PP for visa stamping on 8th March to Abudhabi through VFS. They said 15 to 30 working days

Sponsorship approval in July 2017
Medicals and PCC were completed in Feb. 2017.
Travel history document was requested in Feb. 2018.

Note: Never been able to link her application online.

Not sure what should I do/expect next. Anyone else with similar timelines?

Quick question, if anyone can help -- is there a way to do a medical before CIC asks for it?

My parents are currently visiting and they had to do medicals last year to extend their visa (and those medicals expiry in April). I'm wondering if we can either 1) ask for it to be extended or 2) re-do the medicals before they go travelling in April.

Their application is currently being processed and is in the background check step at the moment. Visa office is Manila.

Regarding linking applications - I had a similar issue, until I found these instructions:

The main point that helped me was "If you are applying for family sponsorship, enter the number of family members, including the primary applicant, the sponsor and the co-signer (if applicable) that are part of your application."

i.e. you need to include yourself (as sponsor) and the co-signor (if any) in the number of family members in the application.
Example, if you are sponsoring your mother and father and you and a co-signor are sponsoring, then the total number of family members on the application is 4.

I suggest calling the Call Center and ask them to guide you through.
In my case spelling of the city of birth was different than on the application papers, not sure why. Because of this discrepancy I could not link my application until I called them. They also explained what number to enter as "number of family members" (in our case it was 4, i.e. all adults, excluding children).

PCC/Travel History Sent: 26 Jan,2018

Nothing after that. I called cic call centre, the automated machine says background check in process & we need additional documents to process your application. I have not received any letter from cic regarding any documents. I have no clue what to do about it. My agent is saying he also dont know anything about it. Does anyone know what does that means? Is this happend to anyone else? Is that means a pre arrival letter?
Please help me!!!
